Tech Leadership in Tokyo: A Night of Real Talks, Real People & Real Energy

Event Overview

Tokyo Tech Leads Circle came back with another night to remember. Hosted at Antler Japan in Nihonbashi, the room filled up with engineers, CTOs, founders, and the next generation of tech leaders — all there for the same reason: real conversations with real people.

No sales decks. No small talk for the sake of it. Just a night that actually meant something.

The Objective

Simple: create a space that tech leaders and aspiring leaders actually want to be in.

Seats were kept limited on purpose — because the best conversations happen in rooms that aren't too big. The aim was to make every person in that room feel like they belonged there, and to make sure the talks hit close to home for anyone navigating the challenges of tech leadership today.

Speakers

1️⃣ Building AI native engineering team

🎤 Tran B. V. Son - ex-CTO @ Money Forward

2️⃣ Cojility: What you think you know about Collaboration will never be the same

🎤 Paul Consalvi - Professor at The University of Tokyo

🎤Keenan Thompson - CEO of Arcnem AI

3️⃣ It’s Not a Cliff, It’s a Ramp: Engineering Momentum for Mission-Critical Legacy

🎤 Anthony Beylerian- Co-Founder & CTO at LiNKX Inc.

Behind the Scenes: How the Video Came Together

Before the event, Ray Sato from Grow had an idea — capture the Tokyo Tech Leads vibe in a short video through Grow Studios, their employer branding and events team. Co-organizers Benjamin Price and Clement Chidiac were in immediately.

Kimo Blackmore and Ryan Marc took it from there, and honestly — we love how it turned out.

One minute. Everything you need to know about what this community feels like:

  • 🎙️ Real stories from people in the trenches

  • 🤝 A genuinely mixed crowd — different backgrounds, same curiosity

  • 🍕 Pizza, catch-ups, and a few brand new friendships

Haven't made it to a meetup yet? This is your preview.

Big thanks to Kaito Nozawa for opening up the Antler Japan space for the night!
